August 2008 -

My 2001 996 Twin Turbo, Biaritz White, at Monument Valley in the Four Corners region. I could not pass up the iconic backdrop and the colors of the earth and sky. Photo was taken during the Memorial Day Weekend, 2008. We had just left the south rim of the Grand Canyon and were headed to Arches National Park at Moab, Utah.

This was taken a couple of years ago just after a tornado passed nearby – the sky was filled with an eerie light, and it was unnaturally silent.  My car just seemed to glow…..the Promise after the storm……

I'll take my Cayenne over my Deere any day!!

Photos by Tom Krueger, Rally Sport Region

I had taken the Deere out too deep to launch the jet skis and the engine sucked up water. So I drove the Cayenne into the lake and pulled the Deere out.

When I think of covered bridge, I think of New England. But here in California, built in 1862, the Bridgeport bridge is the longest Single Span Covered Bridge. And it is also the longest Single Span Wood Arch Bridge in the United States. This is my 997 in front of this State and National Historic Landmark.

I just bought my very first Porsche. It’s a 1987 911T (930) with only 41,600 miles on the odometer. The car is in very good condition. The paint is original factory and the color is called “Cassis Red” (relatively rare I’m told) I can’t believe how much attention it gets every time my wife (Elaine) and I go out in it. I am looking forward to attending some of the upcoming Wild Rose Region events.
